Finishing the Unfinished: There’s a pause followed immediately, or sometimes delayed, by a jolt of recognition when the divided elements of the image before you becomes whole. The tension for the viewer is to always be engaged with the image in what it shows as well as what it does not show asking the viewer to finishing the image, each and every time it is viewed. There is never any doubt of what you are seeing but in these works I believe the viewer can complete it by imagining.
